Chimney Repair, Rebuilds and Flashing by Real Masons

Crown repair and replacement. A cracked or thin mortar wash lets water straight into the masonry. We form a proper poured crown with an overhang and drip edge so runoff clears the brick face.

Tuck pointing and rebuilds. Failed joints ground out and repointed with mortar matched to the original type and color, or a full rebuild above the roofline when the brick has spalled beyond repair.

Step and counter flashing. Flashing woven into the shingle courses and locked into a cut reglet in the masonry — not surface-sealed. This is the number one source of chimney leaks we are called out for.

Liners and caps. Stainless steel liners sized to the appliance and flue, plus stainless caps to keep rain, animals and debris out of the system.

Photographed inspections. You get pictures of the crown, joints, flashing and flue before any work is quoted, so the scope is something you can actually verify.

Above-roofline rebuilds typically take two to three days, including new crown, new flashing tied into the roof system and a properly sized cap.
